The Paul Bosc Chardonnay out-classes the St. David’s version this year, not by much, but enough to make it my pick of the two this year; so if you’re going to get a single vineyard Chateau des Charmes Chardonnay I would go with this one as it delivers on all facets of fruit: peach cobbler, pear and apple; spice: gentle and intriguing, including hints of vanilla; plus the buttery and acidity balance you’ll be looking for, a real mouth-filling pleasure.
