Known for their mead, as well as their Merlot (now sadly defunct), Pinot Noir and Riesling – Rosewood is attempting to raise the bar with their signature product. Ambrosia is mead barrel aged 30 months in 11 year old oak so we see the results of barrel age without direct barrel influence. This complex mead retains that hockey card bubble gum aroma I enjoy, but also delivers sweet apple, pear fruit as well as subtle buckwheat honey and spices.
