Ever since I first laid lips on this Cabernet Franc (back when it was $12.95 a bottle) I was seduced by what Cabernet Franc in Ontario could be – to this day I still have hot vintage versions in my cellar (05, 07, 10, 12 and 15) which seems to always deliver that little bit extra.  Now the ’16 has arrived and if you’re not buying this by the case then at least a half case is a must. This is pure Ontario Cabernet Franc with none of the drawbacks: cherry-rasp fruit with tobacco interlaced throughout, it’s so balanced, so tasty I defy you not to open a second bottle on the same night you open the first.  Still the best value in Ontario Franc ... now even more so
