It’s 100% unfiltered, unfined, naturally made Cabernet Franc … in other words a wine to geek out over if you are “one of those”; 18 months in barrel, 2 new French oak barrels. The result is a wine with an Italian feel, like Negroamaro with its balsamic, cocoa, black cherry, raspberry, blueberry and spice – there are also robust tannins and some layered in texture … very interesting – as I tasted further I revised my Negroamaro to more Chianti meets Nebbiolo meets Southern Italy. Pour it for your wine-geek friends and have them guess the origin.
