In my opinion, this is the best Pinot Gris Closson Chase has made since they began working with the grape; it’s bottled unfined and sits on its lees for 45 days which helps add some weight and complexity to the mix: lemon and green apple along with spiced peach and pear … love the way this one comes together, that is why it gets a rare 4-star from me for a Pinot Gris – I’m also glad they didn’t try to pass this off as Grigio (which it is not).
