The Farm 2015 Pinot Noir, Neudorf Vineyard

If you remember Le Clos Jordanne Petite Colline wines you are talking Neudorf Vineyard – this 10 acres, 100% Pinot Noir vineyard, planted by Vincor, was known for its femininity and in winemaker Kelly Mason’s hands it shows all that and more. This is a 2 barrel wild ferment output that smells of floral and cherry – the palate is light, lean yet fresh with great acidity backing it up. Tight tannins, generous spice, floral with black and sour cherry plus a hint of cranberry – it’s pure feminine-wiles Pinot are on display, plus the elegance and delicacy are all there. Even with its 25% new oak and 18 months of aging the wine is pure feminine Pinot – sashay and all.
