While everyone uses Weiss clone in Niagara there are some using Clone 49, which gives a totally different Riesling experience. This Five Rows Clone 49 version has floral and minerality as book ends – in the middle there’s lime, lemon and pear along with delicate acidity and honeyed white peach – a little sweeter than expected but still a “dry” white wine.
