The best and most attractive of the new Magnotta Venture Series wines, attractive for both its taste and price at sub-$15 this wine is a steal. Minty, black cherry, smoke, cassis and blackberry; it shows some real fruit-forwardness and follows that up with some mocha, earthy tones and gentle spices it’s an easy drinking, well-balanced, exceptionally price Ontario Cabernet that was aged subtly in new French and American oak barrels a mere 3-4 months.
