Frank seems to be leading the way for the renaissance / rejuvenation of Megalomaniac … that and the patience of Sebastien Jacquey, who took over a mess and has now polished up some of those coals and created diamonds.  The ’16 is all Jacquey and his presence shows through: 100% Franc with 10-15% new oak aged for 18 months; its fruit rich with the right amount of balance: cherry with tobacco, raspberry with leather plus a hint of floral and spice – nice richness of tannins balance it all out, plus there’s an elegant finish.
