Another hot vintage Merlot-gem from Peninsula Ridge, showing that Merlot is not dead in Ontario as originally thought because of those really cold winter of 2013 / 2014. Dark berry fruit leads the charge, led by ripe and juicy black cherry, you'll also find mocha, spice and a nice coffee hit on the finish.  Ontario Merlot usually needs a few years in the cellar to come into its own and this one is no different ... but this is one you're gonna love drinking now and find benefit in holding.
