Flat Rock Cellars 2017 Pinot Noir

Look out Pinot Noir fans, Dave Sheppard is on the job at Flat Rock and his Pinots are starting to hit shelves – and it would seem he hasn’t lost a step since departing Coyote’s Run – in fact, I’m willing to go out on a limb and say things have gotten even better: great black cherry and spiced cranberry fruit with an underlying smokiness that adds another layer to this “entry level” wine – there’s longevity in this bottle and a super long finish: Dave is back baby.  Price: $20.95 – Rating: ****+
