I was surprised by this wine because winemaker Andrzej Lipinski has always been a “sweet” Riesling kinda guy, and even when “dry” they’ve been sweet-ish … this one truly is DRY …at 11.9% it’s also got some weight behind it. Lime, mineral and apricot all make an appearance and the finish is … yes, Dry with a capital “D” – drink now before the 2016 hot vintage petrol notes start showing up.  Price: $21.00 – Rating: *** ½+
