2016 is one of those vintages where Cabernet Sauvignon would have ripened quite well - we can do it justice 3 out of 10 years in Ontario; so being given what he got Greg Yemen worked it to his advantage, because you don't always get the opportunity to work with fruit this good. 66% dried, 60% new French, for 10 months in oak, which does not soak the wine in oak flavoring, but instead allows for subtleties and finesse to shine through. Chocolate, black cherry, black plum and toasted oak with a smoky finish - but there's also a lovely smoothness and spice that helps this wine close out in delicious fashion; nothing over- or under- whelms.
