The Redstone rosé bubbles is back on top of its game after a one year hiatus of being just so-so … let’s hope it can stay there. This 100% Pinot Noir spends a mere 12 months on lees – the minimum time allowed to be labelled as vintage sparkling , as per VQA rules, this choice of “short” lees aging allows it to retain its freshness. It kicks off with plenty of strawberry and cranberry notes, the acidity is on-point, though not overwhelming, with some tartness and bitterness to the finish which aids to balance those lovely red fruits … there’s even a touch of white pepper as enhancement to the fruit.
