Between the lees contact (8 months) and no lees (5 months) in 18% new French oak for a total of 13 months this wine has been played with quite a bit -  but it does show a nice concentration of fruit, hint of vanilla plus cherry and strawberry – it’s lighter than expected but still refreshing and a delight for the palate.  Price: $29.95 – Rating: *** ½+
