Pondview’s first traditional method sparkling follows their popular “Lot 74” charmat Vidal – but this is 100% Chardonnay with 16 months on lees – there’s a biscuit freshness with subtle lemon pith. It’s a simple bubble but a good first effort.  Price: $34.95 – Rating: ***+
