This Cabernet from the under-rated 2015 vintage, has little to offer you now but it will have much to give in the future. Aged 18 months in a mix of French (85%) and American (15%) oak the wine s a tough one to deal with right out of the gate: chewy, chunky and chalky that is unrelenting, even through the lens of a big glass or decanter … powering through will uncover notes of blackberry, cassis, black pepper, cocoa, smoke and spice – but I feel there is more hidden in here and it should all materialize over the next few years. Drink 2022-2032. Price: $48.95 – Rating: ****
