Pretty intense Syrah that is co-fermented with about 3-5% Viognier, giving the wine a slight floral note, and helping to keep the intensity of the Syrah in check. 16 months in 2000L casks also helps retain the fruit character … black cherry, pepper and mocha all make an appearance and stick around through the entire palate-show – might just be the best Trius Syrah to date.  Price: $25.95 – Rating: ****
