This fruit is taken from the oldest planting in the vineyard (1983), a nod to which is proudly displayed on the bottle. Four barrels of Willms is peeled off from the barrels destined to make the blended Chardonnays (les Villages and Blackboard) … aged 20 months, no new oak. This Four Mile Creek fruit has great aromas that are mellow, yet still intense fruit on the palate: yellow and white peach, crisp apple and lime with delicate spice on the finish that results in a nuttiness on the linger … it’s rich and lovely without going over the top.
