Created as an unfiltered wine this Greer Road Chard is exactly what you expect from a County Chardonnay – it starts off with a mineral / flinty note, call it stoniness, followed by friendly fruit character: peach pit, apple and apricot – which is really what makes this Chardonnay so appealing, it’s fruit backed by oak, not the other way around.  Price: $35.00 – Rating: ****
