This wine starts off with sweet raspberry and cherry, and layers in some tobacco, then comes the complexity-push with notes of vanilla, pink peppercorns and a cherry-wood-cigar-box lingering on the finish … a real fruit driven affair with just the right backing notes to make it a pure Cabernet Franc pleasure – and did I mention the hint of minerality (but you have to be looking for it).  Price: $35.00 – Rating: ****
