2017’s delightful, first ever Syrah, has now been upgraded to “Dean’s List” quality for the 2018 vintage … I’ll admit it’s a good effort with its hints of pepper and black fruit dominating, there’s even some raspberry, smoke, cigar box and cedar on the finish … It should lean a little more fruity in the coming years, but right now I much prefer the 2017 version – which for me, was at valedictorian status.
