Closson knows how to get the most out of their grapes in average vintages, but give them an extraordinary vintage, like 2020, and you get something like this: plenty of fruit packs this Pinot: cranberry, strawberry, cherry and spiced red currants. The core is juicy and just a pleasure to sip on; the nose screams fruit and floral. This is a very approachable Pinot from Closson; but it's also cellar-worthy. SOLD OUT – Rating: ****+
