This one is built for the Cali-crowd; it starts out rich and creamy and pretty much stays that way. Butterscotch and vanilla with some  cobbler-esque nuances … but the fruit hides behind those barrel characteristics - you do need to thank goodness for the long caramel-green apple finish - or this would have been too much. For me it's a glass, maybe two kinda Chard; but I'm looking for lighter with a bigger punch of acidity.  (*** ½+)
