After tasting the Van Bers and Laundry Vineyard Francs it’s hard not to see this one as the country mouse to the single vineyard city mice … or better yet, maybe younger brother. This one is tasty in its own right with juicy cran-raspberry, white pepper for seasoning and cigar box to back it up. Aromas are full on ripe cherry and raspberry. More than passable, but it lacks the finesse of those single offerings – but it does retain its country mouse charm as it doffs its cap, ma’am. Price: $26.95 – Rating: ****
