Before I go on I must say I've been a huge fan of this bubbly since its inception with the 2005 vintage; a big enough fan that the '05 is the wine I got engaged to; so this wine holds a special place in my heart. That all said the 2010 seems to be taking a step back, but does follow along with what the vintage itself offered up. 2010 was a hot year, making for riper grapes ... where this bubbly lacks is in the acidity department, and what it lacks in acidity it makes up for in fruitiness. Big cherry aromas and flavours reign supreme here and the palate comes off much smooth and sweeter than in previous years. Still nice bubbly for those looking for their sparkling to be a little on the fruitier side. Price: $28.95 - Rating: *** 1/2
