If ever there was a year to make a true Bordeaux style blend 2010 would be it. 40% Merlot, 20% each of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% of Petit Verdot and Malbec, made in an old world style, meaning it’ll require a little time to come into its own. Currently red and black fruit dominates the nose with a nice shake of white pepper into the mix. The taste profile doles out spices, blackberry, and cassis with just a hint of greenness on the mid-palate, but with good tobacco notes it finishes really strong.
