This is a five-vineyard blend of the popular Fume Blanc (barrel aged) Sauvignon Blanc that Peninsula Ridge has made their name on. Aged only 4 months in all French oak, with some new. The nose is grassy with some melon and vanilla backing. On the palate it’s not the zippy acidity one expects from Sauvignon Blanc, it’s pineapple, vanilla and grassy – but what it lacks in bracing acidity it makes up for in lovely mouthfeel.
