The boys of the Old Third Winery couldn’t stop crowing about this wine, or maybe it was the vintage (early veraison, July 17 / early harvest, September 6) whatever it was they loved what they produced and I can see why. The nose was all fruit of the raspberry, strawberry kind … palate showed a nice earthy-strawberry and spice note which was very pretty and tasty … there was also a good mineral note on the mid-palate and a lovely length to the finish. Interesting to note this wine was wild fermented. Price: $42.00 – Rating: ****+
