Pelee first introduced this wine a few years ago - and I was very impressed with it. This newest edition, from 2010, has a mix of American, French and Hungarian oak ranging in age from new to 3 years. I loved the smooth dark fruit that played across my tongue, but don't be fooled, this wine has a nasty-spicy side that rips and bites at the tongue: probably from the 40% Petit Verdot ... a real steak wine.
