Harold Wagner is one of my favourite people in the Lake Erie North Shore, he can gripe with the best of them when it comes to our arcane system and the LCBO because he has good reason … his orchard and fruit winery is looked upon as a second class citizen in the wine world of Ontario. But this also gives him opportunity to play … like mixing Vidal and Viognier (25/75). This wine has a great fruitiness and yet there is restraint here: pear, apple core, mandarin orange and lemon pith all make an appearance in this dry wine. Price: $13.00 – Rating: *** ½
