You start out by noticing the pretty multi-coloured label with its waves of pink, green and yellow – Northern Ice is depicting the Northern Lights – but pretty means nothing if inside it can’t deliver … have no fear, you won’t be disappointed here. The wine is golden in colour and has hints of caramel apple, honeyed apricot and exotic fruit dipped in lavender honey with nice balancing acidity to keep it from being cloying.
