This is a small production Chardonnay of only 120 cases sourced from Hidden Bench’s Locust Lane vineyard. 100% barrel fermented and 15 months of ageing helps make this wine a lip-smacking addition to the Cool Chardonnay tasting. The nose showed lots of freshness for a 4 year old wine – vanilla, peach and tropical fruit led the aroma charge. The palate is what really won me over here with its sweet fruit, tropicality, peachiness with nice acidity and a buttery-caramel-like finish. Price: $45.00 – Rating: ****
