Coyote's Run 2010 Rare Vintage Cabernet Sauvignon
One of the smallest production wines made at Coyote's Run, at only 111 cases, but this one will be hard to put your hands on cause it should fly off the shelf. It is the gem of the 2010 Rare Vintage wines (of which there are 5). It has enough of everything and then it seems to pile on just to prove it can: great blackberry, black cherry, black pepper, cocoa, coffee and fine Corinthian leather on the nose - it's the Chrysler Cordoba of wines complete with Ricardo Montalban purring his way through the commercial. The palate does not disappoint with dark fruit, pepper, spice, and good tannin structure that's not exactly silky but not obtrusive either. Nice acid balance to keep the finish clean. This is a great wine that should be babied in your cellar for the next 2 years, and will drink well into 2025 ... pray we live to test that theory. Price: $32.95 - Rating: *****
