A slight departure from last year’s version, winemaker Steve Byfield says that’s because he had to source the fruit from some different Niagara locations. This one delves deep into the tropical realm and along with the traditional citrus there’s some Casaba melon in here that makes it very appealing. The palate delivers lemonade, sweet orange/tangerine nuances and good acidity – while the finish returns to the citrus-melon combo the nose led us to believe was in there. This one gets better the more air that gets into it. Price: $18.95 – Rating: ****1/2
