The first thing I love about this wine is the name - they didn't try to hide it behind the more popular Pinot Grigio moniker, this is bona fide Pinot Gris through and through. The nose is very pretty with apple and pear being the major players ... this follows on the palate with pear taking the lead role and then somewhere mid-palate peach takes over from apple. All washed down with bright, mouth-cleansing acidity. A very good job at making honest to goodness Pinot Gris. Price: $19.95 - Rating: ****
