I'm really digging the reds in the Alvar series from Pelee Island Winery - they have a juiciness of fruit, the flavours are approachable and it's inviting on the nose. This wine carries its blackberry and spice from the nose onto the palate, adds vanilla and raspberry, then closes it off with some lovely black cherry. Price: $14.95 - Rating: ****
