For those who believe they aren't gonna find a good Cabernet Sauvignon from Ontario from the 2009 vintage might want to think again. This Riverview offering isn't going to be long-lived, but it is good for immediate-future consumption (2-3 years). 50% of the wine was aged in American oak, which gives the fruit plenty of backbone for the short term. Nice red and black fruit with vanilla and toasted-raspberry notes all mixed with good ready to drink tannins; all for a good price. Price: $16.95 - Rating: ****
