The flagship wine for Nyarai Cellars, the virtual based out of Calamus, continues winemaker Steve Byfield`s streak of well made, food friendly, delicious Sauvignon Blancs. The nose is melon (big on the melon actually) with apple and a hint of floral ... the palate seems a little truer to the Sauv Blanc we've all come to know and love, offering up an intense grassiness, tart apple and lemonade-like nuances.
