Between the Lines 2009 Merlot
When a wine this good crosses your path you'd better buy a few; but when a wine this good for this price crosses your path you'd better buy a case ... this wine over delivers for the price - and you don't hear me say that too often. The wine spent 8-9 days on its skins, but did not see any oak, which is why the fruit just soars out of the glass and onto the palate. The nose is raspberry and black currant based while the palate is super fruity with black raspberry, black cherry and just a lot of yum. Only 5000L were made so it's not infinitely available, but this would be a great house wine for the next 1-3 years. Price: $11.95 - Rating: ****+
