Sprucewood Shores 2007 Pinot Gris
The perfect summer patio wine would go something like this: a nose of peaches, pears and apples – which you would have no trouble sitting and sniffing all day. The palate wouldn’t seem as sweet as the nose predicts, in fact, it would pull a vanishing act from all those sweet smells and offer up crisp refreshment instead, like grassy and lemony notes. Finish it off with a honeydew melon rind finish and voila, wine for summer. Price: $14.95
