"Sans Chene" means without wood, or that's what the term refers to, so this is Closson Chase's first wine to come out of the 2010 vintage and it`s a sort of bellwether of things to come. The nose is apricot and orange, a real pleasure to sit and sniff on ... the palate leaves a little of that real fruitiness behind, opting for citrus-like acidity, lime pith and a hint of bitter that comes from both - still pleasant and food worthy.
