This is the first time Jackson-Triggs has made this level of Riesling since 2001 … I guess they were just waiting for a special year, great fruit, or the planets to align just right. Whatever the reason I’m glad to see it again because this is a wonderful sipping wine. The nose is supercharged with peach and just a dash of petrol, the taste follows suit with peachy softness, petrol is already beginning to develop, but very subtly and it’s made in on an easy drinking style. There was also a hint of fizzy-ness on the tongue – quite refreshing … this is a perfect candidate for sitting around and lolling away a summer afternoon. I’ve recommended the wine, the location of such lolling is now up to you.
