Ontario Merlots need time to really come into their own and this Jackson-Triggs model is no different, especially knowing that it comes from the great 2007 vintage. This wine is chalky and chocolaty with big tannins and bit black fruit … it will require time to improve, so patience or a decanter is a must if you’re thinking about consuming it now; one thing’s for sure this wine is going places.
