I often wonder why wines that are clearly meant for summer are released later in the fall or, aghast, in the winter. But then I try them and realize, who cares when it came out, I’m just glad it did. Such was the case for this Fielding Chardonnay – obviously the fruitiness is something you would enjoy more in the summer, but the refreshing and fun aspects of this wine will also help at holiday parties, regular gatherings, after a long day, or, if you decide to crank up the heat to sweat box levels, in the winter months. Fresh fruit like peaches, pears and apples greet both the nose and palate with a refreshingly clean seam of minerality that grabs and holds the tongue’s attention on the finish. Price: $15.00
