It's been awhile since I have been able to say the phrase: "that's a nice Baco". But about a month ago I got to say it three times (during a hybrid tasting), none more emphatically than with this Henry of Pelham '09 version. The nose is full of black fruit and smoky-vanilla-cedar notes. The palate is really the winning part of this wine, smooth and sweet black fruited with nice tannins, almost Zin-like with plummy and jammy notes on the finish. They say Baco and BBQ go hand-in-hand, I can see it with this one. Price: $13.95 - Rating: **** 1/2
