If I told you to drink a maple wine many of you would think, "too sweet" ... well the folks at Quai du Vin seem to have this maple thing down pat, it's not the syrupy, sticky mess you'd think it is. Soft maple sugar candy kicks it off on the nose and follows on the palate with great mouth-feel and excellent finish all with that hint of maple. Nice part about maple wine is that it doesn't oxidize quickly after opening - it can happily sit in the fridge 3-4 weeks with barely a budge. Price: $17.50 / 375ml - Rating: ****+
