This collaborative effort between Ackerman and Lurton is a terroir blend of Cabernet Franc grapes partly oak aged for 12 months – fresh black cherry, cassis and strawberry aromas are followed by blackberry, cassis and tobacco leaf on the palate – there’s good weight and lovely structure here that makes this wine a real pleasure on its own or with dinner.  Price: $19.95 – Rating: ****
