While the label says Merlot it is interesting to note there is 10% Petit Verdot hanging out in the background ... aged 21 months in French oak this Merlot shows style and elegance from first sniff to final sip: spiced-mocha, blueberry, cassis, blackberry and some earthy character show up on both the nose and the palate; the finish leaves the palate with smoky-black cherry, anise and some nice silky tannins.  Rating: ****+
