From a house established in 1877 in a 14th century building in Beaune, so they have history and experience on their side: this wine was aged 14 months (34% new) in, what else, French oak. A beauty Pinot Noir with aromas of floral, a la cherry blossom, and a hint of vanilla – the palate is complex with bright cherry, anise, blackberry, mineral and spice … the richness of red fruit on the mid-palate helps counter-balance that chalky finish.
